I watched it this weekend and loved it. It was refreshing that it portrayed the hell that war is instead of leaning on political intrigue, and the light exposition gave room for the viewer's imagination of the scenario that led to the war 

 It felt a lot like Nightcrawler to me, another film I'm fond of. Also, I like Alex Garland a lot
