Btw  - that is the difference between "notes" and "posts"  .. notes mean default position is no one (except me)  may react to what I noted  ... posts are open submissions for comments .. or likes or whatev.. 

We should be true to the name  :-) .. 

 

 Not sure what the influence was but I know in Japan it’s called note(s) and a boost/repost is called renote 

 Japan folks know what they are doing :-)  .. case in point - US Steel ..
