 Ya know land patents were sectioned and granded in 160 acre increments. Wonder how many land patent grants your 160 acre metes and bounds is in.

 Well the original homesteaders on this property homesteaded more than 160 so I am sure they had each member of the family apply back in the day.

 When you say the original homesteaders are speaking to the first line of owners back when this land was granted or the people you got it from? 

Have you claimed the original land patent grants on this land? It might be a good think to pursue if you love freedom. It's supposed to protect you from encumberances. 

I ask because I am involved in the field and assist land owners do just that. :)
