Wife got a hybrid minivan a few months ago - its a smaller battery then purely electric and only has a 31 mile range (really closer to 23ish) BUT when the battery is low an ICE motor kicks in a charges the batteries as they are being used. Gives it a 500 mile range.
If you drive locally we are averaging ~44 mpg or about 1/8 a tank a week compared to a similar MV we had before was more like 2/3 tank a week.
I haven’t done all the math to verify and it’s still a little early for accurate results but I would venture it’s more likely to be PoW as the gas savings over the next 3-5 years will pay the difference in initial cost of hybrid vs ICE….but you have to HODL.
I agree if you can buy outright that is the Bitcoiner way but I’m just a poor bloke floating in a tube trying to do the best I can saving for my family. I’ll get there soon as I do save more then I spend and save in BTC.
