 Just got back last month!
Was defiantly up my expectations.

Highly recommend booking at the volcano lake near Santa Ana area volcanos.

-Lake Coatepeque hike. People said it was 4+ hrs but it wasn’t near that. Our group with frequent stops made it in 3. Hire a private guide.

There’s several reasonably priced high end resorts that have stunning views. Was the highlight of the week.
-Cardedeu Residence is stunning lake side resort on the crater lake. (We stayed 2nights)
-Casa 1800 is up on the actual volcano. Look up both if you’re in the area. (2 nights)

I can say lots more if you’re curious those were just real gems.

Amazing! Thanks for the recs :) I'll only be in town for a little over a week this time, I've done Santa Ana and seen a little bit of Lake Coatepeque (although could certainly spend more time there... I barely scratched the surface I think!)

I'm mostly curious about Berlin if I have a chance this time... did you make it there? I'm planning to be back in the first quarter of 2025 sometime for longer, maybe a month or more... and I'll hopefully have way more time to visit then!
I'm basically just in town for the conference and hoping to check out the beach on Sunday for myself but Im hoping to get a hand on the location to bring the family back. Do either of you have any tips or tricks in terms of how to come prepared to communicate (buy an esim in advance?) pay for things? Mostly cash? Load a Wallet of Satoshi?
I have previously gotten a physical sim at the airport and topped it with bitrefill (if you want to pay with sats!) but I know eSIMs work too 😇

You'll def need cash (and/or card) since not everyone is keen to accept bitcoin yet (although it's always growing, I always make a point to ask haha) Definitely load up a lightening wallet.
In the city you'll be able to Uber anywhere pretty easily, maybe you want google translate or something for outside the city if you need to get creative to find a ride 😋

I'll see you there!!
Thank you for this delightful response! Looking forward to learning alot from the presenters and more importantly from the city and its people. I hope to bring my family here to visit someday soon and want to learn as much as I can
🙏🥰🥰🥰 it's going to be so good!!!!
