I recently complained about apple fotos app, that i couldn’t erase fotos. Now i know. I’m using a cable for foto sync for my computer and phone. I erased all my fotos on mac(while cable on) but they are still on my phone undeleteable. So I thought to myself,what the fuck load em up to icloud, sync that shit and do it their way (cause i read, that all fotos i erase on one device are erased on the other device too. But don’t sync per cable because all the undeleable fotos will be loaded on your computer again and you have to restart). So i activated iCloud sync. Because my fotomediathek is bigger than 5 gigs the unwanted undeleable fotos were instantly deleted and no foto was uploaded to some servers somewhere in the www because my fotomediathek still exceeded 5gigs. After that message fotos sync for iCloud was deactivated by them. And no upload!!! It is a little bit scary, that it only works that way but I didn’t need to load all my private fotos up and erase em later. But no harm done to me and i got a little bit more control over my device back. But beware if you don’t want to load it up you should still have more than 5gigs, because as you start iCloud sync a lot of fotos will be erased and then the fotos could get loaded up, if you have a bigger icloud storage than your mediathek. And it runs so smooth and fast per cable, that I don’t know why it is so important for them that they want you to use the internet for that…and it uses a lot more energy. Do they want to keep control over your data? Maybe, but i‘m in a good mood today cause i finally solved this annoying problem 🥳, I will complain another day🥁🍸🍾🛵🛵🛵🎷
