Someone I love wrote to me with a Kickstarter project, asking me to back it
I wanted to, but then was hit with the permission wall: sign up, create an account, give us all your information, credit card info, all this stuff
The current web is built in an infuriating way where you can only support those you like through permissioned walls built by rent-seekers posing as "connectors"
So, I didn't proceed, and didn't back them, which sucks
I hope they will join us on Nostr soon so I can back them effortlessly with sound money and no-rent seeking
I think it's just a matter of time ⏳

I think it's cool to reject as a matter of principal, and of course as a matter of safety, but to come and brag about it to the choir if it was not for safety feels wrong and kinda cringe.
