 New leader of Jesse Jackson's civil rights organization steps down less than 3 months on the job
==========

The Rev. Frederick Haynes III, a Dallas pastor, has resigned as the head of the Chicago-based Rainbow PUSH Coalition, the civil rights organization founded by Rev. Jesse Jackson. Haynes, who took over the leadership role less than three months ago, cited 'challenges that continue to exist' as the reason for his resignation. Rev. Jackson announced in July that he would step down from the organization and introduced Haynes as his successor. Haynes, who was formally installed as president and CEO in February, expressed his admiration for Rev. Jackson and his intention to collaborate with Rainbow PUSH in the future. Rev. Jackson, who has faced health issues and has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, has not commented on Haynes' resignation.
