I just saw a musician complaining about Twitter on Twitter, about how he became toxic in many ways. This is the classic scenario, statement of dissatisfaction of the platform, although they do not leave the platform — even when there are other customers to use, such as #nostr for example.
But that’s what @idsera mentioned not long ago: “they don’t want freedom. They just want to complain.”
That is most often the case.
Change takes too much work.
Much easier to vent one's spleen in catharsis and return to the norm.
Rinse and repeat.
Most artists, the ego weighs a lot; which makes it impossible for them to be a “Nakamoto” of life - to create for the world, while their identity is will preserve by their own free will.
That squares with my experience.
