Degenerates tend to have a socialist mindset (no surprise), and the more hard core of them find something like Mastodon/Bluesky provides the freedom to express their degeneracy while still having their perceived need for authoritarian dictates like censorship fulfilled.

Anyways, long term I believe Nostr wins when different cultures develop organically around the protocol. It may never attract too much of "the left" nor even a fair amount of "the right", since that whole dichotomy is based on acceptance of subjugation.
