I hate the "Infinite growth with finite resources" line.

2,000 years ago, by their logic, resources were more plentiful now than they are today, because they weren't being extracted as they are now. Yet, people were poorer and had much less than they do today. 

It's almost as if, the more resources we use, the more resourceful we become.
