 Usernames are not unique on #Nostr, so unless he uses jack.com for NIP-05 verification, it doesn’t really protect him from impersonation 🤔

 Correct. NIP-05 is not for verification, it’s for identification.

 Verification to some degree. At least with regard to businesses. If Tidal were to join and they use a NIP-05 identifier with tidal.com address, it verifies their npub is a representative of that site/biz.

 Yep. That’s what I said. For true verification, Jack would have to use Dorsey.com or something, which would uniquely ID him
