That awkward moment when you realize that the projects you worked for had such high quality because you were there and that there is no "you" at almost any other project. Even million dollar projects.
I'm seeing more and more thow-away code websites, too, that seem to disintegrate in the maintenance phase.
They often have snazzy looking front-pages, but the website becomes increasingly buggy and wonky, as you go deeper into the workflows. Like an AI had run out of ideas and was like etc. etc. and so on and something a bit like this...
This is how I build and it's amazing that AI can do what I do 💫
I'm thinking they all cut the quality assurance and support budgets and told the software developers to just test everything themselves. Which means the customer tests and writes the tickets, now, and nothing works properly.
