African crypto startup Yellow Card has raised $33 million in a Series C funding round, led by Blockchain Capital. The company's transaction volumes have surged from $1.7 billion to over $3 billion, resulting in a sevenfold increase in revenue since January 2023. Yellow Card's CEO attributes the adoption of stablecoins to their utility and problem-solving capabilities. The startup plans to use the funding to improve its flagship product and API suite, which integrates Africa's banking and mobile money infrastructure.
