India is in the "final stages" of negotiations with many countries to work out the modalities of settling trade in rupees, according to Home Minister Amit Shah. This will be a major priority for the new government. Shah also highlighted India's economic growth trajectory over the past decade, stating that the country has become the fifth largest economy in the world and is on track to become the third largest economy in the next two to three years. He criticized opposition states for misusing central disaster relief funds and playing politics by appealing before the courts.
