Social graph for curation? That's a very enticing concept. That reminds me of how I have a friend who looks to me for film recommendations since we have similar taste and perspective on the medium. Something like that could be an evolution of review forums, especially since I'm far more willing to trust people who haven't been inured to The Hero's Journey template
