Pervasive surveillance is coming one way or another.

If it’s left to the state then it will be used against the people.

If people can choose it will be used to protect them through private security operators who will need to guard their customers privacy.

It is inevitable though with how cheap and easy this tech is to deploy, it’s just going to be a question of who controls it and to what ends.
