A recent benchmarking study found that AI PCs using Qualcomm's NPU (Neural Processing Unit) are not as efficient at processing AI tasks as expected. The study, conducted by UsefulSensors, used a Microsoft Surface Pro 11th Edition with a Snapdragon X1E80100 processor to test the NPU's performance. The results showed that the NPU was slower than the CPU and only achieved 1.3% of the promised throughput.
