McCarthy was my favorite, in part because Dems feared him so badly. He was different from any other Republican House Speaker. I don’t think Republicans ever appreciated or even realized how much McCarthy was a threat to Dems. His calm demeanor and subtle approach to politics and negotiating is vastly underestimated. Some Republicans saw this as weakness but it was his strength. McCarthy’s poker face was extremely dangerous to Dems and they wanted him OUT.☀️🌬️🧂✨🗳️🇺🇸💖
