These usually happen due to some big announcements or articles in mainstream media. Did you learn about Nostr online or from a friend or something?
I stumbled upon it. I THINK I saw a brand I follow say “follow me on farcaster” then I was like “what’s that?” And that took me down the decentralized social media rabbit hole (Google search) where I quickly saw Nostr dot com or dot org if I recall. I chose Nostr over Farcaster becasue BTC > ETH and in general I don’t play on ETH.
@Tony the brand was Unlock Protocol or if not Guild.xyz Unlock used Guild as onboarding gate So their 3rd or 4th step was “follow the founder on Farcaster” That’s where they lost me LOL
