It can in theory work interplanetary, but there will be a variety of disadvantages the further one is removed from bitcoin’s center of hash.
we might have a bitcoin mars fork, end up with earth bitcoin and mars bitcoin. Both will be tradeable on each planet, but the value will differ. Wow
