I have friends who think they can outrun inflation by acquiring more dollars and taking on more counterparty risk by chasing yield and extracting value out of others with rent. The incumbent system pats people on the head for this, making them think they're smart. Pretty insidious. One of them even said to me that "the key to freedom is laying low beneath the system" 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

I may have to ditch them one day
