According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as many as 41% of people who get sick from the virus end up with long COVID, which can include respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, and other symptoms that persist for weeks, months, and years.
Research shows that people who have more severe cases of COVID are at an increased risk for heart problems. But, doctors say anyone who’s had a COVID infection is at risk for a heart issue.
