While extinction is part of evolution on earth, senseless extinction caused by an irrational behavioral pattern in a species that should know better is tragic. Maybe oogenesis can save them. 

 Agree on evolution, disagree on extinction due to unnecessary hunting that is unacceptable and disgraceful. 

 Unless you are truly living 100% as a forager, hunting of all kinds is unnecessary. Humanity itself is not really a part of the natural world as we currently exist.
