Lux Academy's Data Mining and Visualisation Project: A Hands-on Technical Journey

In a recent project at Lux Academy, students embarked on a three-week data analysis and visualisation journey. The project aimed to equip students with technical skills in data mining, storage, and visualisation using Python and Tableau.

The students' task was to fetch data from weatherapi or openweathermap for different regions in Kenya, store it in a non-relational database using MongoDB, and then analyse weather patterns using Python. The project culminated in the creation of insights and visualisations in Tableau.

This hands-on project demonstrated the importance of technical skills in data analysis and visualisation. Students gained knowledge on how to write technical articles, use API keys, and manipulate dashboards for meaningful insights.
