“Ever wondered why some enjoy long-term happiness after brief hard work, while others suffer long after short-lived joy? Let’s delve into this.”
There are 2 types of people in this world.
1. Those who are happy for a short time and suffer for a long time.
2. Those who work hard for a short time and are happy for a long time.
"Time" is the most represented thing in these cases. You may know that time is a very strange thing according to Einstein of course. And it is the most valuable currency in the world. Time can determine the sadness and happiness of a person's life more or less. Many people are happy for a short time and suffer for a long time instead of working hard for a shorter period to be happy for a long time.
This case does not matter who you are or how much your assets are. It is common to all.
Here happiness/success and time are proportional.
For me, it is 1:10 and 10:1. (Varies from person to person and what you do.)
Time: 6 months of hard work.
Happiness/Success: 60 months of success/happiness
On the opposite side,
Time: For 6 months you do whatever makes you happy. You know what that is.
Happiness: Depression or illness or disability for 60 months.
Let's see this with an example,
I hope you have read Morgan Housel's book The Psychology of Money. Then you must have read the introduction. (The Greatest Show On Earth).
In case you forgot, the story is very brief,
When Morgan Housel worked at the Los Angeles Hotel, one frequent guest was a technology executive. He was a genius and patent holder and he was widely successful. I would also call him a mix of ics. Housel mentioned him because of that. (mix of insecurity and childish stupidity.)
He carried a stack of hundred dollar bills several inches thick. bragged openly and loudly about his wealth, often while drunk and always apropos of nothing.
He is a person who can throw $1000 of gold coins to the Pacific ocean sea, skipping them like rocks, cackling as they argued who went furthest. "Just for fun".
He did that for a while and you know what will happen next.
yes of course,
He went broke for years.
Now you may think about what are the examples for people who work hard for a long time and are happy for a long time/those who are successful.
Easy, The people who got rich, who made billion-dollar companies, or the people who are successful now.
Now you may be confused.
That mix of ics man also successful. How he become broke?
That's the point. It's a circle mate. It should be updated.
For instance,
Steve Jobs worked super hard in the early stages of apple to make Apple first computers.(Apple I)
And that became successful for years. Because he worked hard and got the results as success/sales.
What will happen if Steve Jobs is stuck in the Apple I computer? If he doesn't work hard for anything else and live a comfortable life with the income from Apple 1?
You are definitely right.
Today, the iPhone that you are using and in your hand will disappear. Instead, you will have a button Blackberry or Nokia phone in your hand. If that happens, maybe the Apple company will also become history.
This also applies to love, relationships, and trust.
Conclusion
"If you are already a successful person, work hard and update the package. If you are not successful, forget it and get success in proportion to it. After success, don't forget and update."
PS: If you can't work hard for such a short period of time, it may be due to procrastination or laziness. We will see about that in the next few weeks. https://image.nostr.build/0061b02591d1c5fd29e2bf609ae04583e2a83d5df644c2dd24958a1ebbe0fb29.jpg
