 But it gets worse for your argument. Ukraine wanted it enabled so that they could perform a military strike with drones. Who is to say how many innocent people would have been killed in that strike? Blaming Elon Musk for events that those soldiers did subsequenty is two bridges too far.

There are other ways to see this. One could argue that because Ukraine has not surrendered and continues to fight an obviously unwinnable battle, all these deaths are on them. Or one could argue that because Joe Biden did not give Putin assurance that Ukraine would not join NATO, all these deaths are on Joe Biden.  Or you could argue that because Putin gives the orders to strike, all these deaths are on Putin.  I think that last one is the most direct and sensible argument.

Putin is the one who killed children. Not Elon Musk.
