 Gold is actually pretty useless. There are nearly as good conductors for most electronic applications, and it's too soft to make anything with besides jewelry. Goldbugs are going to be pretty disappointed when it loses the monetary premium and they find out what that "intrinsic" value is really worth. Especially when you consider the huge supply currently just collecting dust in vaults.
