It sometimes works in Electron because that just uses a Chrome binary and Chrome supports Widevine partly except the kernel level stuff that some streaming services require.

Do you know what a real path towards "actually-supported streaming apps" looks like?

It looks like activism. Be vocal and keep pirating until streaming services start offering their services in an ethical and DRM-free manner. We must keep refusing to implement their digital handcuffs.
