Facebook is KYC platform built on Identity - which is not bad at all .. the gottcha is they promise privacy ... the biggest lie ever told ... but that is also NOT bad ..people  may tell lies ... 

The concern is over 2 billion people don't care  .. now that tells us something about the race we are so proud of ..  we prefer to ignore lies for the sake of minuscule comfort .. 

When I gave up  Meta platforms - none of my family or  friends came with me ! ... am I stupid ???  Whatsapp is too important - they said !
