Nostr and Bitcoin operate on open standards. Your wallets need to adapt. No change is needed from Damus.

For zaps to work that wallet app would have to support nip57 which is unlikely

Exodus has some closed code in it, find some better wallet.
if metamask, exodus, or any other wallet wants to support the growing ecoystem of nostr apps they should add lightning and NWC.
Exodus sort of has Lightning already, but I assume it’s fully custodial.
