Yeah the "community" aspect on birdsite is just a burning dumpster floating down the flooded street. I think one of my big gripes within the last handful of years has been this idolization on "influencers". It's like you're either an influencer or you're nothing and no matter what bigger names in the community try to do to "help" newer accounts its just a popularity contest.
