 That might be the case for God that didn't reveal Himself, like the monotheistic Aristotelian God. I don't know if Aristotle gave Him masculine pronouns.

What I do know is if you are a part of an Abrahamic religion, God has revealed Himself to be masculine. 

 I mean if you presume that we are all made in God's image both male and female then yes...

I still think pronouns are stupid.   How would people feel if we had designated adjectives?  Call me awesome or I will cancel you...  dumb.
