When I climbed in gyms, we called them dynos for dynamic moves, basically any time you have to launch and let go to get to the next hold
Oooh that's really interesting. Thank you Do there's no special name for sideways launching? All launches are dynos?
There might be a more specific term that I don't know, but yeah, we would have still called it a dyno any time you were let go of the wall and depended on momentum to carry you to the goal. Typically feet off, too, so all launches would be dynos.
Thank you for informing me😁 this is really interesting
Yeah, no problem. If you ever want to try it, climbing gyms have become a lot more common, and this would be considered a VERY advanced route if it was in a gym, so you'd have beginner appropriate stuff to learn on.
Yeah I don't think I could get up even the beginner routes🤷🏽 I'm not built like that. But it's pretty cool to see that someone made cliffhanger a thing in real life. 🤷🏽 https://youtu.be/RfGysiaHurU?si=6LJCXoBRBGQUJjnr
