No, it's not expensive, you're right. But it is for me in total. I use Apple products and have to pay for the stupid cloud when I want to work flexibly. I pay for the rental (!) of editing and graphics programs, pay again for cloud storage, because I shoot at least in 4K and I have to upload in 4 k, otherwise the loss of quality is too high. Videos often still don’t look good and that annoys me. I pay for apps find useful but mostly for Content creation .. I'm not stingy, but I would like to keep the costs low for services that I only use occasionally . I would gladly pay for a well-functioning client, but so far there isn't one that has all the features I would want. In general, I think - please don't get me wrong - that it should be super easy to upload long content to any Nostr client. That would be a super power. Any teen can create high quality videos these days, few apps offer to share longer or high resolution content easily. For me, that's one reason why TickTock is still successful. Also I avoid KYC where ever I can.. Anyways, I think your offer is the best at the moment.
Well, someone has to pay for it. TikTok does your profiling and feeds you ads. Same for YouTube. NB does none of that and hence the price. Apple doesn’t have ads on their stored content, so you pay them. What do you propose as an alternative to pay for things that nobody pays for? You can’t have a cake and eat it unfortunately, you always pay for things with money, time, attention or your sellable information. You have to pick one. For now you can easily upload to YouTube and share link here, nobody will complain or feel uncomfortable watching it. We all have our experiences that we need to pay for. 🐶🐾🫡
Appreciate your response. Good points to think about further, I am fundamentally aware of this. It's generally not just about payment, it's about handling and quality of experience. Uploading steals time like crazy. Any app that saves time by offering a compact UX and features will win. The better creator technology gets, the more need there will be for "all-in-one" or compact applications.
Totally agree! UX is the king! Takes time to develop but we are getting there. 🐶🐾🫡
