A group of server operators, including Invex Gaming, successfully implemented a system to detect and ban CSGO cheaters. The solution, known as IdentityLogger, used a PHP script to generate unique tracking IDs for each player and persisted them in a database. This allowed administrators to track and identify players across different IP addresses and Steam IDs. As a result, the number of cheaters and abuse reports dropped significantly on their servers.
