Midseason NFL firings have become increasingly common, with at least 19 coaches let go since 2014. While some teams hope a coaching change will turn their performance around, data suggests that midseason firings are more a symptom of deeper issues than a solution. On average, fired coaches were dismissed after 9.3 games and had a winning percentage of just 2.45%. Interim coaches have managed to improve team performance, but this is often short-lived and doesn't lead to long-term success.
