assuming this poll wasn't fudged most people ( including republicans ) support price controls, which is basically communism.
as somebody born in USSR i can tell you this will only lead to empty shelves, and ultimately stunting among children due to a diet of ( subsidized ) bread and water.
because we all know they won't subsidize meat or eggs, which is what children need to develop.
we are looking at a future where 90% of people are both diabetic and malnourished.

@LynAlden
Yep, looks like people want to repeat past mistakes rather than learn from history.
Prices controls suck balls. I'm sure @LynAlden can articulate that much nicer 😆
Polls are bullshit.
yes polls can be used to manipulate - all you have to do is say a poll shows most people believe X and the average person will choose to also believe X because most people are afraid of thinking differently from others lest they be judged.
in this way you you can program people to believe whatever you want. in our particular case here the poll is brainwashing people into accepting communism because ostensibly that's what everybody wants and you don't want to be the outcast, right ?
Dissident Sound, you are not cynical enough.
Poll question: "Do you feel there is ever a role for government to enter negotiations to lower prices ultimately paid by consumers?"
Okay, got 98% in favour. Now disqualify any participant who used Nostr in the last 30 days.
We're at 99% now.
Headline: "99% of People Want Price Control Action Now. Trump Disagrees."
yes i know that is how polls work, but the bigger issue is government runs our education system
in USSR in school i was taught we were lucky the great Lenin has massacred all the greedy bourgeoisie ...
and students in America are taught today is that everything is the fault of greedy rich old white people ...
the same Jews are in charge in America that massacred the Russians under Red revolution then Ukrainians under Holodomor and are massacring both again in Russia-Ukraine war ...
"Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted" - Lenin
in America the government has 16 years ! ! ! to brainwash children. when i came to America i was shocked that Americans spend half their life in school without learning anything of value there. 16 years to basically to learn to hate the White Middle Class and to love Blacks and Jews and Government.
yes polls have issues but education is the real issue. our country is founded on separation of church and state but as we are discovering the powers that be simply replaced the church with "the science" and "education" and run both ...
we are running on the same basic model as Aztecs with their human sacrifices and Egyptians with their pyramids and Soviets with their Holodomor - we just call our insanity different names ...
reality is that lack of knowledge and access to information was never the issue. the issue is human nature which is to obey instead of think ...
is it really that much of a stretch to think an idiot republican who would send their kids to die in a war for Jewish bankers and Israel would support the same Jewish bankers instituting price controls ?
like i said, i don't know what people actually think but we can't discount the possibility that they might be THAT stupid.
We're seeing a similar sentiment in Canada. It is quite scary to be honest.
Republic Democrat what? I did t read
Money no value
Moving forward
That's right because it's better to starve because you can't afford food than to starve because there isn't food in the first place.
Do they ask about monetary printing and debt controls?
This is crazy. Can't believe it
This is a CBS poll, and it includes sampling error. Expect different results from a different audience. These types of polls are pretty much worthless.
We don't know where the republicans lived, their ages, or ither demographics. How many republicans responded vs dems? What kinds of ppl were likely to respond to this survey? What are their biases? On and on....
I don't mean that remark as an insult to you. Rather, hoping to assuage fears and help you think about so-called facts presented in media
