Rare Satoshi
A #Satoshi is the smallest unit of #Bitcoin, and each Bitcoin is divisible into 100 million Satoshi. Thus, 1 Satoshi equates to 0.00000001 BTC, with each Satoshi being uniquely identified by a numerical sequence. As the total supply of Bitcoin is fixed, so is the quantity of Satoshi. These units are transferable and traceable, each distinguished by its exclusive numerical identifier.
The Ordinal Theory Handbook categorizes rare Satoshi based on significant cyclical events within the Bitcoin network - Satoshis that play pivotal roles in these events possess distinct names or have historical significance and are endowed with unique rarity and premium characteristics.
According to the handbook, there are six levels of Satoshi rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic.
• Common: Any sat that is not the first sat of its block (Total supply of 21 trillion)
• Uncommon: The first sat of each block (Total supply of 6,929,999)
• Rare: The first sat of each difficulty adjustment period (Total supply of 3,437)
• Epic: The first sat of each halving epoch (Total supply of 32, with 4 in circulation)
• Legendary: The first sat of each cycle (Total supply of 5)
• Mythic: The first sat of the genesis block (Total supply of 1).
