In Japan, a growing trend is emerging among workers seeking help from resignation agencies to quit their jobs. According to Momuri, one such agency, more than 350,000 people have sought online consultations since 2021, resulting in over 20,000 resignations. This surge is attributed to a generational shift towards prioritizing work-life balance and a desire for autonomy. Many employers are reluctant to accept resignation requests, leading some workers to seek proxy resignation services.
