 Here is another option for speed training: Farklet Runs. 

You run 3 minutes at a fast pace, whatever that is for you, and then 1 minute at a recovering pace. And repeat X times. 

The difference with stride repeats is that here you run slower for a longer time. 

Start with X = 1 and increase weekly.
