In the big picture it is good UX, far better than the existing situation where every app and website has a separate account system you have to use and manage passwords for. People have and will always use multiple applications for various purposes. Nostr is a bit clunky so that needs to be worked out, but having one profile between multiple apps and all of your content and media viewable and accessible seamlessly across multiple apps is like nothing I’ve ever experienced online.
#Nostr should be studied as an OS.
I’m not sure the average human cares about that, though. They already use Facebook login for everything. Explaining the benefits of decentralization to them is pointless. Having one login for multiple apps doesn’t feel new, won’t attract new users, and might also be hindering retention.

Having a handful apps that can all do all of it and are competing with each other is far superior to the current approach of dozens of niche apps which all do only one or two things well.

Nostr needs to stop throwing shit at the wall and instead gather all the shit that stuck together into something far more polished and feature-rich than what we have now.
Tor like web app browser using Nostr, with a wallet, social media...
Right? A browser as a portal to Nostr with apps as plugins, or I guess as you suggest also web apps.
