#WordWeavers 9/14: does your antagonist have any likeable or redeemable qualities? 

Buck/Xyrex the anthro wolf space pirate is capable of love and affection. 

He generally tries to 'go after' people who are also criminals, since it's easier for law enforcement to look the other way when one smuggler beats the other one up and takes their stolen lunch money. That could be seen as 'robinhooding'. 

He's 'conventionally attractive', and even with his 'pirate scars' is rakishly attractive. 

He wouldn't ever do anything to hurt a child or a pet or wild animal (icky bugs not withstanding).

He's good at gardening. 

He was extremely supportive of his late spouse's transition to female despite his often callous attitude towards members of the opposite sex (and people in general).
