He is right ! But I’m not gonna run lighting node anymore even if I have a skills to do that nostr:note10sw3v7uwht26th29rq97weqn28hkeu7qqxj45x0n24rg95xrs86qtefnhp
node will be in the phone and it will work offline
You will only use this node to take custody from the mint though, it does not need to be an active node at all.
TLDR? I am still thinking of starting one.
Or do you mean a public node? Does it still make sense to run node for own stacking and spending?
how 'technical' do you guys think of yourselves, is it 'technical' barriers? don't disagree, and my nodes offline too atm, but I do wonder what can make it easier. I worry running a lightning node is only going to get more complex over time 😓

I can fake my way through using a command line. By searching stuff on the internet. I’m not a dev. But ive built a couple nodes. For me it wasn’t the technical side that was difficult. It was the stability and endless channel management. And knowing for my peace of mind. I want the sats in cold storage. Not a hot (lightning) wallet.
yeah same same. when do things ever get less complex over time though. peoples always want more and more features so won't lightning nodes end up bloated and the same
