The health of an online community can also be measured, among other things, by whether the people still have their own agenda or have adopted the agendas of traditional MSM into their daily discourse. And by that standard, German Twitter, for example, is totally messed up. They do nothing more than commenting MSM topics, void of any own topics. That's completely contrary to the initial 'citizen journalism' idea of the internet.
The great thing about this idea is that such a community, unlike mainstream media (MSM), can operate independently of the economic factors affecting MSM (publication numbers, advertisers, etc.), making it incorruptible.
