 Federal authorities have arrested a Nashville man, Matthew Isaac Knoot, on charges of hosting laptops at his residences to deceive US companies into hiring foreign remote IT workers. The scheme allegedly funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars in income to fund North Korea's weapons program. Knoot faces charges including wire fraud and intentional damage to protected computers.
