I'm quite familiar with Lindsay.
I think most of the cultural Marxism / identity politics is coming from the base - bottom-up - and the majority of the politicians are run of the mill Statist pieces of garbage who will say whatever it takes to appease people while also robbing and manipulating them (and if they are a little cozy with dangerous ideas on any political extreme... Well they'll entertain it because it gets votes. And hm maybe that's working well enough that they'll do more than be cozy and instead nudge it top-down a bit..)
But I don't think that stuff is starting from the top. The electorate are just tripping over themselves to get a paternal apparatus above them to weild coercive power against anything they don't like and they'll project their own ideologies onto the charletons on stage.
TL;DR: I don't think Harris is a Marxist and I don't think Trump is a racist. But a Marxist pleb will vote for Harris and a racist pleb will vote for Trump.
