 okay, you commented on the mp4 version. that's where i got confused with the convo with The  Fishcake. i uploaded 2 versions and asked on the mkv version if amethyst users could see it and you commented on the mpv version. @vrod are you able to see the video on this thread?

 Damus and Amethyst do quoted notes differently it seems, so we are both right and wrong. The point is, MKV is not what you should ever use for streaming distribution of media. It is not designed for that. MP4 is what you want, and should use 🐶🐾🫡

 The media is now is loaded and auto playing. Previously it took me to brave and treated it like a file download.

on #amethyst i see no comments from The Fishcake or Dan on the mp4 version of this upload (only 5 comments). 

both of their comments are showing on the mkv version upload for me.

any ideas as to where this is getting messed up? 

 i assume it's a damus bug but want to get clarity. it was a frustrating journey to discover but we got there so hopefully this helps. please check it out

 i agree mp4 is better for streaming. there is no conversion happening on nostr so for now, it's important to pay attention to the file format for better compatability
