Apple does not do anything to old devices to make you buy a new one. My sister was using an iPhone 7 without issue. She wouldn’t have upgraded if I didn’t buy her a new phone.

Meanwhile, my Nexus 5X bricked due to poor design in the CPU, my Pixel 4XL bricked due to poor design of the battery connections, my Pixel 6 Pro overheated to the point of disconnecting from cellular, which persisted after degoogling. The Nexus and Pixel 4XL bricked within two years, and the Pixel 6 has a cracked screen since they wanted to be quirky and put a curved screen on there (they have copied the flat display of iPhone in the recent pixel).

After those phones, I decided to try iPhone again, and I have not had one issue in a year. With an Apple Watch, I can unlock my phone with gloves and a helmet on, and AirPods are simply better than pixel buds. (I also had pixel buds which predictably quit working after 2 years like every other google product I’ve had).

Samsung devices also experience overheating issues, and they are only acceptable to use if you have a custom ROM. iPhone works out of the box perfectly. It sends a 10th the amount of data an android sends.

My main issue is that google engages in election interference, and they push various types of propaganda. I won’t support google again. When I get the Android itch again, I’ll get a Sony.
