Mr. Olabode Olawuyi was a veterinary technologist who had been in charge of the Zoological Garden at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) for over a decade. He was responsible for the care and management of the animals in the zoo, including a nine-year-old male lion .Tragically, Mr. Olawuyi was killed by the lion he had been caring for on Monday, February 19, 2024, during a feeding session at the zoo
